Top class series again Vas, its not easy at the best of times getting them inflight. Can't wait for the weather to warm up in the UK and meet up with those comical guys again

Well now you are just p***** off.  Have you any idea what it is like sitting here looking out the window at an abominable northern hemisphere February day.

Excellent set as usual.

For my part of the northern hemisphere (SF Bay Area, Calif.), today's forecast is for a high of 70 degrees F. and sunny. We Californians get smug this time of year.

If you can spare a few inches of rain though, we could use some.

Well done, it is very difficult photographing these flying.
Are you using am Olympus camera?
I ask as Panasonic's only have contrast autofocus and when I try the camera would rather focus on the busy background!

I hate you even more than Vass :-).  I've often wondered why the whole world doesn't live in California

Re: Dragonflies (Stills & Flight)

Those are some really nice shots of Dragonflies, especially 3, 9 and 10. How on earth did you manage to get the shots of them in flight!? I can barely keep up with them when I'm trying to see where they've landed, let alone get some awesome shots of the fellas in flight. Very nice.

I'll have to get some more practice in this year. The Olympus 60mm Macro was one of the reasons I got myself a M43 camera (although the first shot below was taken with the Olympus 75-300).

We'd brag even more if we weren't worried about that.  We talk about the drought to discourage you.

Just like a rifle, you need practise and have fast reaction with ability to put your sight right on the target. Iv'e only been shooting flight with a camera for 7-8 months or so but my other hobbies probably gave me the experience. Comes naturaly to me but was difficult at first because the way a camera is held.
