Just how good is the GX8 especially against the GX7 ?

I agree that the GX8 is superior to the GX7, but what I'm trying to say is that for producing pictures, if you know the GX7 well and are willing to work a little harder, you can almost always capture a picture that is as good as you could with the GX8. At least for me, the GX8 workflow is simply better and smoother and easier to be more precise with. It would be difficult for me to judge the difference in IQ though at anything less than 100% or 200% magnification on a good monitor!

I have been trying to find a small flash for GX8 and have not been able to. Following your message, I looked for Fl-2 or -3, and I cannot find them listed. Is this the exact brand name for it?

This one is powered by two AA batteries, instead of being powered by the camera's battery.  A bit bigger, but probably more capable, and not much more expensive than the Oly flash.

Yes, the EVF in the GX7 is just that bit too small. Sigh.

I'll wait til the GX-10 to replace my GX-7 when the pop up flash returns. The GX-7's flash is really good for fill-in light. Panasonic shouldn't have removed it.

Did you have any difficulty adjusting to the offset view finder?

I have found the viewfinder offset to be really good in use.

Really? I'd have thought that side by side, one would find the images virtually indistinguishable.

Have you got any examples to show these improvements?

Yes I will get around to it shortly. Am currently very busy getting photos ready for my next exhibition in a few weeks.
