Some second hand options (buying advice for aps-c body)

I'm looking for a second hand aps-c camera to be my 6D's best mate. I don't have particular requirements in terms of features, I plan to buy a 55-250 and keep it on 90% of the time (for the extra 10% I could use one of my primes.

My current options are:

100d for 230$

450d for 130$

600d for 250$

I think the 450d may be a bit too archaic for my needs, but between 100d and 600d it's a much harder choice. Considering that I never use video, is there any major advantage of one over the other? I like th size of the 100d, but I like the screen of the 600d.

Any advice is welcome!

Both now are supported by the newest DPP4 version, so that is no reason to choose one over the other.

Both also can run Magic Lantern (nice for certain things, like trap focus and certain live view utilities).

I guess you just have to choose on body style. Will you go for the smaller body or the swivel screen? I can't help you there.

Any advice is welcome!

You can also consider the 500D or 550D. I've been using my 500D along with my 50D to take some splendid pictures.

The 500D has a worse sensor, so I would not go for thatone instead.

I would go for the Canon SL1 (100D) or the Canon T3i (600D) camera.  I saw both about 15 months ago at Best Buy (retail store) and chose the Canon T3i (600D) mainly because I wanted the larger body.  I am using it with my Tamron 150-600mm lens.  I've been very pleased with it.

Either one would be excellent.  You may want to look carefully at the reviews at Dpreview and the internet to help you decide.  In a lot of ways they are close to being similar (other than size and weight).

I bought a used 650D a year and a half ago and love the touch screen.

That immediately makes me think of the 60D, which is like a brother to the 6D in many ways, sharing a lot of ergonomic and functional features. If you can find one at a price you can afford, it's well worth considering.

The 60D would be great but most people ask quite a bit more cash for that one :/

It is quite a bit more camera. (If you need a deeper buffer and ergonomics features like the shoulder LCD and quick-control dial.)

I would go for the 100D. I am selling my 700D and keeping my 100D even though I want a swivel screen. With the 100D I can tell which rear button I am pressing by feel without looking and with the 700D by the time I can feel which button I am on, I have already pressed it so I have to look.
