Embarrassed to admit...

The lens is sharp as can be wide open, so I'm presuming there's a bit of camera movement in those five seconds. Not a problem WRT the image itself, to my eye.

Ok, you caught me...  I didn't want to admit it, as I was a little embarrassed.  But I totally forgot to turn of IS for the first series of exposures.  I caught it, and then shot again without IS, and I think things were just a hair better, but that difference seemed smaller than the difference in the overall shot when the reflections of the water changed unfavorably.

Re: Embarrassed to admit...

You know, even though Oly still recommends turning IBIS off for tripod use we have a cohort here basically asserting they're just to lazy to remove the text from the manual, because the 5-axis system doesn't need it. I'm simply not willing to accept that, figuring that while there are arguably now fewer parameter combinations to cause motion blurring on a tripod, some still exist.

Shooting in fleeting conditions like you were, it's the light and reflection balance that dictate the keeper(s) not the bestest camera settings (IMHO).

Cheers,

Rick

Would not even consider getting rid if it...if I had one! Great shot, love the volors and great reflections
