With two 100mm filters you will get about 3mm shift up or down before vignetting starts.

Yeah, thats why I figure a 150mm system will be needed if I want to make full use of shift.

Pretty much so!

one note, I used to try Firecrest on the 100x100 filters but experienced horrible image degradation from it - Maybe you shd check around in Amazon for a bigger pool of users if they had solved this issue.

Interesting. I thought I'd read some good reviews (specifically about how the Firecrest were the premium range of Formatt-Hitech) regarding colour cast, especially as Lee seems to have a noted cool cast to their ND filters.

Must admit, I havent thought of using Amazon much as a resource simply as in Australia, there are many sellers who dont ship here at all. Will suss out reviews.
