Indoor Low light sports 40-150 Pro [more pics]

Hi,

Sports photography is not my everyday thing, but with two daughters playing field hockey at a level that is more than fun to watch I found myself an excuse to upgrade gear. Reasonably happy with indoor ISO 3200 shots with E-M1 with 40-150 Pro. Defenitely can not freeze all action here but am doing better than earlier using E-M5! This particular venue was very poorly lit, but expect to stick with ISO 3200 next time to increase shutter speed.

I've experimented with both C-AF and C-AF with tracking and have yet to decide what really works best [leaning towards C-AF]. Think the action may compare well to e.g. basketball, so input on settings is off course appreciated

I also enjoy somewhat more background blur when games are played on the field again...

Thanks for watching! Sjoerd

Very promising for a first go. I too think creative blur can work in some cases. I have challenges with outdoor soccer on overcast days using the same combination, so you've done well here.

Happy experimenting!
