I agree, it´s a really sharp lens for what it is. Came from a Nikon APS-C system with the 18-200 VRII, this Panasonic lens is way sharper at longer focal lengths, and same sharpness at wide angle. So pleased with that lens. Plus half the weight....

Thanks, Mark, for that suggestion. I have the original Oly 14-150, and it's just OK.  I was not aware of a Mk ii for this.  I'll see if I can find a Mk ii to test.  Looking on line, is seems to be a fair amount less than the Panny 14-140 ii, and splash proof to boot.

I don't wanna go off topic, but since most of us around here are reasonably happy with the 14-140mm II, I was wondering what do you think would be a good pair for it as a second, fast prime lens.

I am on the lookout currently as the f3.5-5.6 does not help much in low light situations, and logic tells me that since the 28-280mm equivalent range is already covered, I should go for a fast nifty fifty.

Performance/budget ratio looks good for the Olympus 25mm 1.8, and with the current rebate running it is even more attractive. I could also wait for the rumored Olympus 1.2 to be released, but I'm afraid they will be way out of my budget.

I've happily paired mine with the PanaLeica f/1.4 25mm and Olympus f/1.8 45mm lens, They complement each other perfectly.

Cheers,
Paul
