Favourite shots of 2015

Thought it might be a good opportunity to look back and pick some of my favourite shots of 2015 out, would love to see others too!

All taken on the X-T1 with various lenses:

50-140 catching British superbike at Donington park.

50-140 Again, at a classic motorsport event

18-55 in the Teide national park, Tenerife.

14mm at one of my favourite places in the Peak district, U.K.

Haven't used the X-T1 half as much as I wanted to this year, but really pleased with some of the images I got with it, I also purchased the 50-140 and 14mm lenses this year which I have been really happy with.

Hope you enjoyed looking!

Hands down my favorite and the favorite of others: the gorgeous model Rachel as "Jessica Rabbit" taken at Colorado's Great Sand Dunes National Park. XPro1 with 12mm Zeiss Touit, and EFX20 (the flash everyone loves to hate) for fill attached to Gorilla Pod and hardwired to camera.

By far my most commented on picture on all social media and messages through my website.

Happy shooting for 2016!

Very good idea for a thread. I love your last shot Dave, the one taken in the peak district. I'm a big fan of long exposure water shots.

My favourite shots in 2015 are all taken with the X100T.

Great idea for a thread!  Here are a few of my favorites from 2015, all with Fuji X gear:

Mother and daughter in the cooling mist at the Minnesota State Fair.  These misting stations were set up at various locations around the fairgrounds.

Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Minnesota State Fair 2015.  I got off two shots with my X100T before security whisked me away from the stage.

Just a Grape Stomping event partier at Carlos Creek Winery 2015.

One of many "Lucy's" at Carlos Creek Winery in 2015.

Log rolling event at Carlos Creek Winery's Grape Stomping 2015.

She plays in a group call the String Beans.  She likes to note that her mandolin is older than she is.

A scene from the Mississippi River, Minneapolis Minnesota.

Surly Brewing, a local favorite.

Some really beautiful shots in this thread. The year in review is always an interesting exercise, and it's often surprising what you choose as your favourites with a bit of distance. I always think my best stuff is black and white, but interestingly when I review the year most of my faves were colour. A sample from my top picks:

I had so much fun in 2015  with my X-A1 that it was very hard to choose the Best. Recently did a couple of Google+ albums to give to friends but haven't made them public yet. Here are a few and will give the link if anyone interested. Taken mostly with my 35/1.4 and XC 50-230, plus some with the 60.

I really like these photos alot, the framing and exposure is really good, and they all seem to tell a story. Are these ooc jpegs with film simulation or have you done some pp?

Thankyou.

These have all been post processed in Lightroom. I'm a RAW shooter mostly because I enjoy editing my photos and it's easier for me to get the look I want.

It is most interesting to see how differently we all live and what diverse things are important in our lives, as evidenced by what we photograph. I tried to pick a few 2015 images among the many.

Young Joy pointing a bird:

Handsome Chase in a blizzard:

Interior of abandoned farm house:

Chase and Joy watching for early season incomers on the family farm:

Joy retrieving at full tilt:

Ruffed grouse hunting high in the mountain:

This days' harvest (and dinner!) with 20 gauge:

Chase working a field in an oddly warm December mist:

Chase retrieving from fluffy timothy:

Down the farm (a non-Fuji image - Sony RX1r II):

Best wishes to all of a great 2016!

Greg, Chase and Joy

Would you mind sending me a pm telling me more about the pp?

I really like the look of your photos but I'm having a hard time getting it like that myself. I'm used to having rich color and high contrast, have been trying to change my editing in LR to accomplish the look you have but it ain't working out
