Canon T5/1200D Flash/Lens Recommendation

Hello all. I just bought a Canon T5 with a EF-S 18-70mm 3.5-5.6 IS and EF 75-300mm 4-5.6 III lenses as well as a spare battery on sale new from Best Buy in Canada for $480 off the regular price (I paid $419 including tax)

I tend to use my camera to shoot in locations where I have setup my DJ gear (usually weddings, parties, etc) to give clients a idea what the setup looks like.

I am not looking to get the entry level Canon flash (ie: 270EX II Speedlite), but one that can be more of a workhorse unit like my Nikon SB-800 has been.

I will also use the camera as a backup camera for my photo booth units (I have a T3 in one booth and a T5 in my newer booth).

So, I am looking for recommendations for the best flash to use for shots that can be low light and 9 to 15 metres distant (18 to 30 or so feet), and possibly some late evening dance action shots.

I currently have a Nikon D70s and I am/have been using a Nikon SB-800 flash with that camera. I also use a Canon S5 IS with no hotshoe flash and only the onboard flash.

With the purchase of the new camera, I am also looking at some basic lens recommendations (50mm, 18-200mm, possibly 150-600mm).

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

The Canon equivalent of the SB-800 is the 430EX II, or 430EX III RT.

You can get the 580 exit for about the same price as a new 430 since the 580 8s d8sc9ntinued so on ebay it's used for about $250
