Yongnuo now have the yn685 which has a built in radio receiver. I would recommend that over the the 5xx because you need one less piece of equipment i.e. the 622c.

For the transmitter, I would definitely suggest 622c-tx ii. The lcd and dedicated controls make life so much easier.

I never heard 622c-tx ii? Is this a new release from Yongnuo? I hope that they could have a new version of 622c-tx to make my EOS M3 work. The current one is hopeless for EOS M3 even with their latest firmware.

Not sure about what the version ii brings to the table or if it works with the M3.

I would have thought that the basic 622-tx would work with that camera since it takes regular Canon flashes but I suppose one can never tell.

One thing I would recommend is to get E-TTL and HSS if you can afford it - gives you many more options.

I can't find a II version anywhere.

I believe it was originally mentioned as a result of a confusion, as the system Yongnuo naming convention is quite confusing.

My bad - the 622c has a ii version but not the tx.

I would recommend Adorama Flashpoint as they have a very comprehensive system, and the quality is quite high.

yongnuo quality and reliability leaves a bit to be desired.  I ended up seeking my Yongnuo units and going all in on Flashpoint.
