GX8 and Panasonic 14-140 f/3.5-5.6 and video

I understand there have been issues with 'jitter' on this lens, when using it for video. There seems to be a running thread on it:

My question to all GX8 users, using the dual IS firmware update, is - do you still see this issue?

The thread I referenced above relates mainly to the GX7 / G7 cameras, and before the new firmware, so I'm curious to see if anything has changed. I will purchase this lens, but only if it is acceptable for video.

Thanks

I dont have GX8 but the GX8 hybrid OIS for video works only with fullhd and it uses electronic stabilization (not sensor shift). It is just the same thing as using post stabilization in editor. It crops fullhd video so the resolution drops. No help for 4k so the 14-140mm jitters when shooting 4k.

Thanks. I was hoping the update may have fixed the OIS in addition to giving dual IS. Have you tested it?

Strange.
This:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/news/panasonic_updates_14-140_lens_firmware.html#b

And this:
http://www.dpreview.com/articles/3339650904/panasonic-issues-lens-firmware-updates-to-enable-dual-i-s-with-lumix-dmc-gx8

Suggest otherwise. But the 14-140 is an August update, the GX8 December:

I'm not disagreeing, just trying to understand what's going on, to see if the 'jitters' will appear, should I purchase it.

Sorry I forgot the 14-140mm II FW august update but it is not helping with video. It only enables the dual IS for photos.
