Useful, sharp and fast.

This lens I like to use during evening artificial lighting we can see on concerts.

F1,8 is usable, FL requires to be not so far from the scene but also not to close.

AF is fast and precise all pictures taken sharp in point!

I did not try it for portraits yet but I like what I saw from other people pictures.

Advantages - nothing moves and rotates.

Seldom seen 3D possibility

Reasonable price (ca 250$)

Disadvantage -not bayonet but with thread anti light tube. I am not sure if this is not an issue for filters fixing. But the tube (delivered with lens in set) protects lens opposite to wind, dust or rain.

No scale and DOF range for focus ring (electronic focusing)

Lens delivers sharp and flares/distortions.  free pictures. It is light and small.

I like it very much.

Another good summary Chris. I would add that the bokeh for portrait usage can be quite good as long as the background isn't wildly contrasty.

I only wish it had OIS.

OIS?

For action OIS does not work and increases lens size and cost.

For static scene when long shutter times used i.e 15-30s OIS does not work too.

Does it make sense invest for OIS for specific situations only?

IMO no, particularly for fast lens - you can use lower ISO or faster shorter shutter time. and no for pancake - I expect smaller size rather than OIS.
