Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 Four Thirds adapted to Micro Four Thirds

I have both the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 & 50mm f/1.4 Four Thirds lenses.  I am wondering how well they will work when adapted to a Micro Four Thirds body.

Has anyone used them on a Micro Four Thirds body?

Right now I have an Olympus E-PM1 body.  A VF-4 is on the way.  Before I buy the Olympus adapter I thought I'd ask here first to see how the lens will fair.

Thanks!

Re: Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 Four Thirds adapted to Micro Four Thirds

I have the 30mm.  It only gets used when I need the extra aperture.  IQ is no better than the 12-60mm set at 30mm.

It works on my EM1 as well as it does on the E30.  The EM1 corrects for the severe vignetting, which is good.

Rather suspect that focus will be very slow on any other MFT body.

With that gear list and wish list you should get an EM1!

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Four Thirds adapted to Micro Four Thirds

I use the Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG -version for portraits, indoors and low light nature shots with EM1.

The focusing is fast enough and reliable, but needed some tweeking (adjusting) in the in-camera lens focus correction map - easily done. Just some test shots... More reliable now than it was with E3.

With other bodies EP3, EM5)... well, it works, but the AF is slow or very slow, and not that reliable. Manual focus may be the way to go, but it depends on what you are shooting anyway.

The lens is not as sharp from wide open to f2.8 or 4 as the Zuiko 50mm macro is, and it shows some CA at f1.4 and (bit less) at f1.8 and 2. But the overall rendering is very beautiful and bokeh smooth and pleasing. CA can be quite easily corrected in PP. I shoot raw, and use Capture 1 for prosessing - I use Sigma/Canon correction for this lens, has to be chosen manually...

The Zuiko 50mm f2 is a sharper lens (and macro), but both of these 50's get their use in different situations - but I hardly ever carry both with me at the same time.

The 30mm lens... Sorry, I don't have it. The PanaLeica 25 f1.4 is enough (the older version).

Cheers!
