Bought it used from B&H (8 condition I think). Lens was very clean. I was going to get a 70-200 but I'm glad I went for this first. Shot an engagement session and it just has a whole different look to it. The clients were very please as was I.

Its very sharp. No AFMA needed.

The bokeh is insane. The 59th St/Queensboro Bridge is in the background.

It is a little longer than I am used to and not as versatile as 70-200 but if I have the space I will use this lens. It just produces some nice images. Plain and simple. My fiancé said "I don't know anything about lenses but I like the pictures from that lens." If she says that so will my clients.

Re: Awesome

I have to agree. I think it is the most magical lens I own.

Re: Awesome

I'm primarily a Nikon shooter, but the 135 f/2 and 70-200 f/4 IS are the two reasons I've added a Canon 6D to my gear.

I am a Sony A7 and Panasonic GX7 user and this lens works wonderfully on both for me!

I even didn't mind it for a while on a (gasp) Canon camera!

Re: Awesome

I have always found the 135L much sharper without a filter, even B&W.

i agree with on 70-200 f4.0 IS, it is a wonderful tele zoom across the fl range and the DoF is wonderful, as well. i don't have the canon 135 f2.0 so i can't comment on that!

Re: Awesome

I also have a 135L, it's my default portrait lens along with the 85L II, it has such beautiful Bokeh, I have a real hard time to let it go even after I recently received my Zeiss 135 F2 APO, so I decided to keep both as this is the focal length I use a lot, I am using mostly the Zeiss for portrait and the 135L for indoor sport, it focus pretty fast too.

2 of the finest lenses in the Canon lens lineup.
