Would you recommend the M10?

Giving a recommendation is more complicated than indicated.  There are several questions I would need to ask the potential purchaser before giving them an answer.  Mainly, do they see themselves getting into photography in a more serious way?  If they do then going with the Nikon or Canon brand gives them wider options and equipment availability.  They can use an excellent $2k lens on an M10 and migrate it to a 1Dx if they choose to upgrade.

If they never plan to go further then more options are on the table.

I have been asked several times for a camera that does everything automatically, like a phone but with better IQ and a zoom. None of those people would use EVF/OVF. The M10 is just for them.

No, Toyota builds things that simply work, a bit outdated compared to the competition, but reassuring quality, so:

Toyota = Canon.

Volkwagen = Hasselblad, overpriced and not as good as everyone claims.

No Canon mount lens - NO WAY !  Buy a returned A6000 (<$500) or A5100 !!

With Canon lens - wait for review !  But maybe better to buy an M2 ?!

Yes,because they made the same mistake as with the original M,

no EVF,worthless handgrip or no handgrip at all etc. which will cause

prices to drop considerably!

Ridiculous NO @current $699, but YES when price fell to $399~$299

I "LIKE" the M10, I have no problem with the spec.  However, I do think it is WRONGLY price at $699.  Its is price far too closed to the superior M3 with hotshoes and EVF.  That makes M3 the better VALUE camera than M10.

However, if M10 price fall to $400, then its worth it.  Above that, I would strongly advice people buying a cheaper and faster Canon SL1 DSLR over M series.

How, when you can get an OM-10 with two lenses for $599?

See above.
