Olympus 40-150 F2.8 - the buck stops here!

Trying out my new lens today. My friends from work were nice enough to pose.  I have to admit that it is one fine lens.

Yes I am.  I have the 75-300 also but the 40-150 is definitely sharper and faster.  Nice to be able to shoot at F2.8.  Almost having my Nikon gear but much smaller.

I see you have the TC.  How do you like it with that lens?

Love it, though having said that I have used it strictly outdoors so I can't guarantee AF performance in lower light

A government lab with a lot of property and a good size deer herd that have decided to stay with us after the property was fenced in years ago.  Some of the deer are tagged to track the size of the herd.

I love them all. No hunting allowed here.  Our deer are protected by armed security guards.

I have to say that the second shot cropped makes a great portrait - pretty clean even the crop.

I think he meant that the lens doesn't hunt for exposure lock . . .

Great post! Researching lenses currently. I have the 14-150 II at the moment which is great. Looking at te 75-300 for reach and 45-150 for quality, but won't invest until I've reached the potential with what I have! Love the deer shot, haven't been lucky enough to get anywhere near one yet around my way!

And no, this picture was not taken with the 40-150mm PRO lens.  It predates the lens by more than a quarter of a century.
