Someone else commented that your shadows are a bit dark.  You could try lifting them or you could try in camera HDR1 which can work surprisingly well.

When asked this question by a friend, I always respond, "What do you think of them?", which is in my opinion the most important issue for amateurs.  For pros it is what your buyers think.

In attempting to judge my images, I compare them with the few images from Flickr that I fav.  So I must quietly ask,  "Would I fav this image if I discovered it by an unknown photographer?".  Most of the time, I must answer, NO.  But once in a while in a particularly wonderful instant, my image ........
