Yet another overlapping thing that adds very little to what is already out there.

Where's my 100-400....

Splitting hairs, but it ranks above the other 2 macros on overall score.

Here's a comparison of the top Panasonic and Sigma lenses on DxO. I didn't include Oly because they don't have a 30mm lens.

As you can see, they rank this #6 among all Panasonic lenses. Only 5 Panasonic lenses test better, and, since they have two versions of the 20mm, it's counted twice. Aside from the 20mm lenses, only 3 other Panny lenses test better on DxO.

It also ranks above the well-regarded Sigma 30mm. And if you look at the sharpness of this lens, both in the center and consistency across the frame, the Panny performs well above the Sigma. Aside from that, it's a macro and it's also stabilized.

As a side note, I'm glad to see DxO back to testing MFT lenses again.

I have the lens and really like it. Dual purpose-a really sharp macro+general purpose lens in a size and weight that fits the 4/3 balance. It spends a lot of time on my GX8. And it dual stabilizes.

I don't understand their rating system. I would like to know where the 12-32 and 35-100 F4-5.5 rank. The Sigma 60 should be higher.

Further clarification...
1

Because I feel my previous post did not actually clarify my views on DxO, I thought I would include this link explaining my views.

In summary, I don't believe the final scoring on DxO is worth much, if anything. I don't think it correlates well with real world results.

I simply included the rankings of Panasonic lenses (based on final scores) to demonstrate that there was no reason to believe that DxO doesn't like this lens.
