Those are, if possible, even better than the previous ones!

Fantastic! I particularly like the swallow that is sideways, almost vertical, coming at you. Superb!

I agree with Antonio completely! I can't imagine how they could be any better. Thank you!

These are excellent. Maybe you have already explained how you are following these swallows, so sorry if I'm asking you to repeat yourself, but are you using a red dot sight, or some other trick to make it easier, or is it just skill?

Cheers

Re: The other Swallows in Flight from yesterday

Also when I come to think of it I don't know how hard it is for others to track fast moving targets. I have basically been into shooting since a child for a few decades and for me I guess following targets with red dots or any other sight devices feels very natural and I have a lot of experience with such things.

Much better than the first post. I guess the red dot sight works out great for this.

I need you to send me some of your swallows.  Mine are much more antisocial.  Great set of images.

Very nice shots! It really helps if the Sun is at a good angle too (which I'm sure wasn't an accident). I see like me you like 1/2500 for this sort of target

I bought an EE-1 Red Dot Sight after having a fairly torrid time trying to photograph Swifts with my GH4 and it does help, as well as the wider FoV helping to avoid losing the bird it's better for eye-strain if you are aiming at a nest waiting for a bird to dive out, which can take ages. I find guessing the Parallax can be a pain with small targets at varying ranges though.

I think there is little doubt that you are the Swallow King.  Unfortunately all of ours are leaving us so it will be spring before I can see whether I can come anywhere close to you,.  I doubt it.
