100d v 1100d

Hi all! As you know I'm saving up for a new 100d with 18-55 IS STM, however I know someone who is selling a 1100d with 18-55 IS, 50mm 1.8 , extra batteries, shutter release cable and a few extras for £195. I'm currently saving up pocket money and cutting the grass money for a 100d but I don't know whether to go for this offer, will the 100d offer much more than the 1100d? I will be using it for normal daytime photography, e.g. landscapes, and milky way shots and astrophotography. Do you think I should carry on saving? Or go for the 1100d?

You don't say the price difference.

In your shoes, I would definitely save for 100D, much better IMHO

Look at these differences

The 100d is £332 and the 1100d is £195. I've currently got £187 and ill have enough for the 100d around Christmas, is it worth the wait?

£195 isn't a huge bargain for an 1100d.  Go to eBay, search for "canon 1100d" and select "used" and "sold listings".  You could get a used 100D with kit lens for about that price.

Yes, it will be worth the wait. I'm with guiness2 on this one. You won't regret it.

Sorry for a delay. I would sparw till christmas. Looking forward is partof the game, anyway.

I have no personal experience with 1100D , but 100D is worth ever penny.

I have 50D and have got 100D as a replacement for excellent but old 400D
