E-M1 + Olympus 60mm macro: Bugs

Hey y'all,

I wanted to share a couple of photos from my summer holidays in Lillehammer, where I spent a good deal of time in a big garden full of flowers and plants one warm, sunny day. Last year I sold off my Nikon D300S and all my old lenses because I wanted to go mirrorless after seeing how great it worked out for a friend of mine (he went and got himself a Fuji camera, though.) One of the lenses I used a lot with my Nikon was the Sigma 105mm macro, but truthfully I never got pictures that were anywhere near as good as I do with the Olympus 60mm macro. Awesome lens, awesome camera. Haven't missed my old Nikon for a second. Constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated, and of course, please view at 100%.

Nice shots all. As an owner of this lens, I would appreciate any info about your technique. The first shot is particularly nice. Tripod or hand held?

Thank you! All of these shots are handheld; I find that a tripod usually inhibits me more than it helps me, so I prefer shooting without one. I usually rely on focus peaking along with shooting in bursts when shooting insect macros. Depending on the situation I switch between shooting using the EVF and the display; the first one is shot using the display, while the other two are shot using the EVF. When photographing subjects that are less prone to move around / fly away, I usually set the camera to manual focusing and use focus peaking to assist me in getting the shot I want. For these photos, I used the autofocus.

Can't see Exif but number one looks like it could do with being a smaller aperture to give a little bit more DOF. I can't get any upgrade in size to judge it better. Nice shot though

Sorry but can't see anything in 2 or 3 that would keep them out of the bin.
