EM-1 + 40-150 f2.8 in the studio, with birds of prey

I had the chance to give the EM-1 + 40-150 f2.8 a work out at a Bird of Prey studio day run by a mate of mine and was delighted with the results

These are stunning, it looks like a fun event!

Those are great Brian.  I especially like the Barn Owl with his wings up.

I am truly impressed Brian. You are so lucky to have a situation like this. Most of us can only dream of having this much control . Stunning images.

(I don't think I mentioned one of the other bonuses - should have been 8 but 4 didn't turn up, so we had excellent access and shooting time all day! )

How close to the birds can you get?

These are excellent and so are those on the flckr site. I am envious too, must be fun to be able to take your time and concentrate on getting the shot without the birds flying away.

The performance of the 40-150mm in these shots shows how good it really is.

thanks  vass, we were restricted to about 8ft from the birds so as not to disturb them (according to their handler they don't see the flashes but get upset if strangers get too close)
