"Toploader" Case For G7 - Lowepro Rezo TLZ 10

Just picked one of these up for my G7 and it's a very nice fit with enough padding to be used both as intended as also as a padded insert for a larger bag or pack.

https://www.lowepro.co.uk/brands/lowepro/rezo/rezo-tlz-10/pd255/

G7 sits in a very similar position to the camera shown in the above link with the following lenses fitted:

- 15mm f1.7 PL with lens hood fitted

- 30mm Sigma f2.8 with lens hood fitted

35-100mm Panasonic f4-5.6 with lens hood fitted in ready to shoot, not stowed position.

Is it tall enough for a mounted 35-100 f2.8 with hood reversed?

I don't have one of those to try it, but a quick questimate based on:

1. Where the G7 sits inside the case with the 35-100 f4-5.6 hood mounted ready to shoot.

2. The 35-100 f4-5.6 hood mounted ready to shoot being 75mm from mount face to front of hood.

3. The 35-100 f2.8 being 100mm long

Says that the EVF would sit 25mm too high in the case with the 35-100 f2.8 fitted for the flap to close properly.

You'd need the extra 2.6cm depth of the TLZ 20 to fit with that lens.

I bought one of these on eBay for $14. It works with either GX7 or G7 with 14-140 v.II mounted, with hood reversed (pretty much a perfect, snug fit in all dimensions). The 35-100 f/2.8 is almost an inch longer than the 14-140, so that's questionable, IMO. You might be able to pull the cover over the camera even if it is sticking up out of the case a bit and fasten the buckle, but I think it would be a very tight fit if it works at all.

It's a nice, compact case with the 14-140, and room for a battery or two in the small front pocket, at a great price.
