I see that there is a new version of DPP available.  4.3

I am still using the 350D (XT).

What version of DPP should I be using - I find some of the updates confusing?  I get the feeling that I am updating the software for no good reason as my old camera may not be compatible with the newer versions.

You can download the latest version...

and keep the old version on your computer just in case. I use PS and LR. At $9.99/mo. they are a bargain

DPP 4 does not support the 350D. You should be using DPP 3. Canon has been adding older models to the list but there is no way to know if they will add support for your camera.

Latest is 3.14.xx where the .xx depends on your computer OS.

examples:

  • Windows XP (32 bit) => 3.14.15 (10/14/2014)
  • Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) => 3.14.48 (3/30/2015)

Download the updater from Canon USA

Thank you.

That ties in with what  I have found.

I have both DPP 3.14.41.0 and 4.1.50.0.

I use DPP 3

I had a look at DPP 4 and it did not seem to work with my pictures.

Now I know why.  Thanks again.

I have just upgraded to Windows 10.

I am currently using DPP 3.14.41.0

Should I upgrade to 3.14.48?
