Must have lens for any Canon crop sensor user.

I always wanted a ultra wide angle and when this lens came out last year I got one.

This lens has had good reviews and the price is very good. Once you put this lens on the camera it does a good job.

Being STM the focus is silent, build quality is okay. The image stabilization makes up for the aperture which is not very bright. I think the limited zoom range keeps the costs down, and the quality of image is not as compromised. This lens is in the kit back all the time.

Pictures that were not possible before, are now.

I am not disappointed by this lens, and would recommend this anytime. The price has fallen since it came on to the market. A bargain.

Second that.  I got one recently @ $60 off, and loving it ever since.  Indoor no flash, no problem, sharp pics down to 1/6 shutter speed, crazy!  Just tell the subject people to freeze.

Almost no distortion @ 18mm, try that with your kit lens.  Even distortion @ 10mm is minimal.  Fantastic!

Other than the fact that it's light on your wallet, it's also light in your camera bag.  I can't leave home without it.  Took amazing landscape shots in the Canadian Rockies last June.
