Re: Virtually New DP1s on eBay

Nice ebay presentation.

I thought of putting my DP2 out there but they are selling at low prices and besides I like my DP2.

Two things: I'd have shown the lens itself, without the lens cover, and I'd have used a photo of the rear that did not show what looks like a crack near the lower corner of the display (another view shows the display with no crack).  Of course the "crack" is just a reflection but it might put off potential purchasers.

I had a listing a while back in which I priced the gear at 1/3 purchase price, and it got bought in a hurry.  It's an art to set pricing (I did not get as much for my gear as I should have).  What stung was the ebay sellers fee, taking a big chunk out of my proceeds!

I haven't done any ebay for a year or more, and I wish you good luck.

Good point about the not-a-crack; I had mentioned it on the Sales Forum but forgot on eBay.

I almost don't want to sell it. It was brand new when I bought it and it takes nice, sharp shots.

Gotta Love eBay . .

Would you buy this?

Obviously a super high-quality watch . . . not . . . well, maybe . . . who TF would know ?!

Classically OOF, pathetic WB, Seller's shadow, zero detail, framed as far away as Seller's height, blah, blah, blah.

For my watch shots, I recall replacing the Kodak point-and-shoot, buying a DSLR, a true macro lens, a sturdy tripod, LED floods, diffusers, reflectors, etc.

A little anal, in retrospect . . .
