Thanks...

I'm buying my first smartphone this weekend and my priority is that it have a good camera. I've narrowed it down to the Samsung S6 and LG G4.

I've been looking around the 'net for images from both and I'm leaning towards the G4.  Your G4 images were very helpful...thanks again.

I'm probably not going to be much help, but I've pretty much decided to go with the G4 for non-camera reasons: it has a removable battery and an SD card slot.  The S6 does not.  From what I've read, the cameras are pretty similar.

The removable battery and SD slot on the G4 are other reasons as are it's raw files and the features of the camera GUI.  One thing I've noticed in some G4/S6 comparisons is the G4 seems to produce less blown out highs (sky/clouds) and better shadow detail in landscapes (better DR?).

My son says the S6 has faster focus but I'm never in that much of a hurry.

Got my G4...

I picked up my G4 over the weekend.  I haven't had much chance to use the camera but what I have done with it I like very much.  I tried auto and manual mode (manual with raw) and tried using my polarized sunglasses as a polarizing filter...worked pretty good. After my brief usage I think I prefer the DNG files over the jpeg.

I guess it depends on your definition of "too big". It might be best for you to check one out at a store. I'm used to a considerably smaller phone (Samsung Intensity) but I'm not uncomfortable with the G4 and it fits in my pocket comfortably (I don't wear tight jeans).

The ourchase price of the LG G4 was $50 less than the Samsung S6 which I was also considering.

The "with a 2 year plan" prices of the G4 and S6 were the same.

Here we dont have those plans with phones included.

Im thinking with a smaller screen, around 4". Whats your (forum) thoughts with the Samsung galaxy k zoom?
