How does a WHITE 16mm lens look on a BLACK NX300?

I just received it and it looks unopened. The recepit reads "50 euro", this guy bought it somehow for 50 euro! I'm guessing he's either the manager there or there was some extraordinary discount at some point (I think the first option is more likely).

Anyway, I'm used to my 30mm and I mostly use it in manual focus mode. Is it normal that his 16mm is much louder and slower in autofocus than with Samsung 30mm lens?

I don't have 30mm, but people says  that 30mm have slower autofocus. My 16mm is only audible in complete silence.

I guess I'll test it on the outside. In the silence of my house it sounds very loud, as I said I also use the 30mm mostly in manual mode so I'm not used to hear noises at all in general.

Maybe another AF square size will help?

I did not compare but it seems work the same way as 30/2

I tested it outside and I have to say, I hardly noticed it as opposed to the windowless room where I tried it before.

It looks so cute that maybe if I get a pancake for my NX1 it may also be a white one.

On the other hand I was used to have white lenses with my Canon.

A very long time ago I asked a Canon tech why big L lenses are white. He responded, they have a better heat balance in direct sunlight. Could make sens.

I think that it's only for showing

Canon uses white on some of their lenses for heat reasons. Some of the elements in their lenses are more heat sensitive than others (fluoride I believe is the one). White lenses don't get as hot in the sun as black ones.

Samsung makes some lenses white for cosmetic reasons. Not sure if the 300 2.8 is white for heat reasons though. The white lenses don't sell as well as the black versions so you can usually get a nice discount on a white lens.

I wonder how making silver/brushed aluminum version would be received
