XQ1

I just scored a new one (new other) on Ebay from Henry`s  in Canada for $145. Supposedly an open box but I couldn`t find any evidence it was ever opened.

Anyway it is obviously and significantly faster with regards to operation and AF than my XA1. It`s truly a speed demon.

IQ is another story . It`s good enough , but no better than my LX7 was.

The lens seems sharp enough and the AF is accurate , jpeg colors and white balance are good . Noise is much improved over my LX7 although ISO1600 would be my limit with it.

Features and functions are incredibly good and this pocketable camera is so easy to hold and such a joy to use .

The camera is built so well and so good in so many ways I expected to be impressed with it`s IQ but that isn`t happening. Not that it`s bad , but it should have easily blown away all other compacts with smaller sensors  but the differences are not obvious.

I`m gonna have to try shooting it in raw and see if this X sensor is in fact more capable of producing better images than the jpegs.

All in all I`m still pretty happy with my bargain priced purchase.  If nothing else it will be a good camera for the glove box in the van.

Re: XQ1

Obviously, the XQ1 will be faster because of the smaller sensor and less megapixels, your LX7 would be better IQ because of having a 1/1.7 sensor. The X-A1 is far superior, of course, being APS-C, though a little cheap compared to the more expensive models.
