Lovely Camera

Ive recently bought one, and I was a little concerned about the overall feel of it, as well as the UI, Being a canon user. I was not disappointed at all. It feels very durable, and the UI is very smooth, It took me a few minutes to get used to it. Very happy with the camera!

I'm hoping samsung keeps improving the camera with new firmware updates

Re: Lovely Camera

Hi,

I'm assuming you're still working with your NX1.  I just got mine after doing a week of tests with Samsung's demo they lent me.

If you're familiar with the Canon 70D, you can tap the screen while rolling video and it will focus at that point.  Does the NX1 have that feature while you're rolling?

Would you mind sharing your settings for shooting video?  The manual is a bit too brief to be understandable and I think it doesn't clarify if features work in stills or video or both.

Thanks.

The touch to focus does work in video. Another nice feature is that whilst shooting video in auto, you can touch an icon on the screen to revert to manual and adjust like that - I do this with focus peaking enabled. I suppose the only downside is that focus peaking isn't as accurate as when it's magnified, although I'm not sure magnification is possible whilst in video mode.
