metz 44 on nx1?

Will the metz44 flash work on a new nx1?

I am about to get an nx1 and just want to make sure. Currently I use a nx20.

thanks

My Metz 44 AF-1 works just finely on my NX1...

...in my brief tests.  Exposure is spot on.

If it's for samsung, it should work.

It works fine. It is a fare bit overpriced for how it is made and feature set but if you want TTL and good power you don't have many options.

It is easy to operate and exposes properly and consistently.

Considering it is 40% of the price of the Samsung ED-SEF580A I would say it's a bargain.

A bargain in the sense of "if you don't have many choices, you take the lesser of two evils"

It has a plastic foot, only does 4 manual power increments, and you can't change the batteries without taking it off of the camera first. For $200? That's not a bargain, that's price gouging. There is a vacuum in the Samsung speedlight segment and Metz adds a premium to the price because of it. They have you over a barrel and they are going in dry. You can catch a rebate every now and then and save $40 or so and get a little lube, but the 44AF at $160 is still MUCH more expensive than what you would get with say, Yongnuo, if they decided to jump into the NX fray.

Price gouging? Really? Someone forcing you to buy it? This isn't a necessity like food or shelter. Go buy the Samsung model for $499.

Anyone know if the Metz 44 for Pentax works on the NX1?  I see some flashes say for Pentax and Samsung.  I ask because the Pentax version of this flash seems to be cheaper.
