New Camera Buying Guidance! Important! Confusion!

Guys i am confused whether i should buy a canon 70D or 760D ? I have been using Canon 400D for half a decade with half a dozen lenses and I love it. Just that i feel some of the expensive lenses are not performing well enough with it and it gives bad results in low lighting. It's only 10MP and ISO range is also till 1600 only
What do you guys suggest? Which one to buy? If at all? Or should i stick to my old 400D?

I'm asking myself the same question

Newest technology vs slightly different autofocus

More solid body vs probably perfectly satisfactory body

$200 to spend on something else: Maybe new Rebel with a battery grip instead of 70D with no grip.

So I'm waiting until I can go to the store and play with the new camera.

It appears that you are ready for an upgrade....  Which one should you buy?  I would wait for the professional reviews to come out first for the Canon T6s (760D) before deciding.  It won't be long until we start to know.

You are doing the right thing by waiting but...

I don't see Canon cannibalizing their upgrade line by allowing the 760 to directly compete with the 70D. Plus the fact that Canon will begin to discount the 70D. At the end of the day,  my bet is that the 70D remains the far superior camera

Wait a few more weeks and the reviews come out.

If it's strictly between the 70D and 760D, barring some unreported leap in sensor capability (which would be most welcome!), the 70D would seem the logical choice. But you have other options at that price poiint. For instance, you could grab a refurb 7D from the Canon direct store. You could buy a 60D and have more money left over. I'm sure there are other possibilities, as well. It depends on what lenses you have and what you're trying to do.

+1 The 70D is in a whole 'nuther class.

The 70D has been out for some time and has the kinks worked out. This is the camera to step up to.
