EX2F Lens cover
1

I bought this "Automatic Lens Cover" on eBay from a seller in China for $4.99 with free shipping. It works well and is certainly more convenient than the snap on cover supplied with the camera. I wouldn't call it a precision cover because I can see light through the closed cover petals. I probably wouldn't use it in a very dusty environment.

Re: EX2F Lens cover

I was thinking of doing that too with my used ex2f. Instead I went and bought the extension tube. Then mounted a UV filter on it. Now it is encased inside it to help keep the lens clean.

Re: EX2F Lens cover

I've got one on my EX1. Just be careful with the lens at it's shortest focal length, as those shutters can sometimes cause vignetting.

It is very handy though just to be able to hit the on/off button and be ready to take a picture.
