Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 ED

Would an Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 ED kit lens (from an E-P1) work with newer m4/3 bodies (including E-PM2, E-PL7, EM-10) with no issues?

If it is the original M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 from the E-P1, it should work with no issues. I would be very careful that it is an m. zuiko lens, which is the designation for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

The description you have above in your OP is very similar to the kit lens description from the older four thirds DSLRs, which can work, albeit slowly, with an adapter, and overall, is a considerably larger lens.

It's the M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 (with the 40.5mm filter size) as shown below:

It will work with any mFT body ...

Even my FT 14-42 works with my E-M1! Not very good in really poor light, however. Mind it's not the best on my FT bodies in poor light either!

^ Further to the above, it appears from a couple of test shots I have done with my FT 14-42 ED that it has possibly run out of resolving power in front of the E-M1's 16 MPx sensor. I will have to look at this more closely.

You should have absolutely no issues using that lens on any Panasonic, Olympus and Kodak S1 MFT body.  That is the beauty of this system
