NX Mini 9mm. vs. 9-27mm.

Have any of you tested these two lenses?

Any advantage at 9mm.?

Thanks, Mike P

Thank you all. What I should have made clear was, is there a difference in IQ between the two?

I heard it go both ways.

Thanks, Mike P

PS The mini has really surprised me by how good it is.

not much really. like I said, size is only difference. 9mm is mostly if you don't want the bulk of zoom and want to pocket the NX mini. although the zoom is nice or flexibility. personally,I would just buy a 9mm for compact use and buy an adapter for the bigger NX lenses.

I have the Mini, the zoom can be useful and has image stable function.

An old post I know but I have both on the way and will compare because I personally was not too impressed by the 9mm prime. It suffered badly when shooting into the sun with lots of flare and a big drop in contrast etc. I'm hoping the zoom fares better.

At the very least the image stabilisation will allow you to keep the ISO lower in low light - providing you are shooting static subjects.

As much as I wanted to like this camera I can not. I gave it good reviews in other threads based on static testing around my home. It was my compact camera on a recent Hawaii vacation and the camera used in outdoor bright lighting created poor results with tons of lens flare. I got some nice shots, but a lot of bad ones. It has since been replaced by an RX100 which consistently produces amazing results.

The 17mm is the best by far. Super fast and ois!
