2nd lens - nx300m

So, I'm looking to get my 2nd lens as i currently only have the 18-55mm OIS and i would like something lighter as to fit my camera in to my pockets. I use my camera mainly forlandscape and street photography and the occasional indoor shot.
Mainly I've been looking at the 30/2.0, the 20/2.8 and the 16/2.8 primes.
As I'll only be able to buy one, i'd like som feedback on the different lenses, aswell as your thoughts. I'm also open to other suggestons

Thanks

Re: 2nd lens - nx300m

I have the same nx300m with 18-55mm and got 20mm as my second lens, mainly due to 30mm being to narrow for me and my wife and landscape when we travel. I would get  the 16mm, wider and faster, but it's said that it have some distortion.

30mm can be a little narrow for indoor shooting, but it's a superb lens and may be better for your needs

Now I'm thinking about my third lens, can't decide between 45mm, 30mm or 50-200mm.

Sounds like the same position I was in. My first prime was the 30mm, then the 20mm, then the 16mm. I now use the 16mm and the 30mm the most. For wide landscapes it is very simple to shoot multiple photos with the 30mm then stitch them in Microsoft ICE, when I don't have the 16mm on camera.

Based on the needs you listed, I'd get the 16mm. The 30mm is an outstanding "normal" lens but you have that covered with the 18-55. Same with the 20. The 16mm is wider than what you have and would work well for landscapes, street, and, since it's 2.4, decently in lowlight.

Re: 2nd lens - nx300m

Kind of a no brainer... definitely go with the 30mm lens.

Having said that I don't have experience with the other pancakes.  I just have the 45 and 30 as well as the 18-55.  30 stays on my nx300 at all times unless I'm doing portraits or video.

Only drawbacks to me is focus speed.  Not terrible, but shooting a toddler is rough.

I think the 30 is great for street shooting.  the 16 and 20 are probably better for landscape.  But you can test this yourself very easily by setting your 18-55 to the different focal lengths.
