Metz flash on Nx100

Hey i have a metz flash for nikon and im wondering whether it would work on the nx100?  Also, is there a way to wirelessly trigger off camera flash without say getting an additional trigger?  Thanks!

Re: Metz flash on Nx100

I can't specifically talk about Nikon flash on the NX100, but I did try a number of non NX flash units on one of my NX100 cameras when I first had it.

All of the flash units I tried had a trigger voltage that was low and compatible with my Pentax DSLRs I had at the time. However despite this, one of these units managed to fry the flash circuitry of my NX100.

The other issue is that the last Firmware version for the NX100 prevented many non-NX Flash units from working.

So it's possible you Nikon flash will trigger, but don't expect any auto exposure adjustments to be negotiated between the Camera and the Flash. You will need to operate it in manual modes.

Can't advise much about off-camera as I have little experience of this.
