First serious out with my NX (Explicit show cat content!)
1

Today i did my very first run with my NX1100 and wanted this share my first take:

Done in very bad light condition, RAW+jpg, LR5 to convert the raw and have the exposure fixed, then cleaned up with noiseware.

29mm from 18-55.. maybe i will buy that pancake?

The 30mm?  Well, if you use this focal length for other things as well.  Off the top of my head I don't know the closest focus distance for the 30mm though, but I know the 18-55 really lets you get quite close, so you may not be able to get so close with the 30.

Just had a quick check with my NX3000 and 30mm F2. I reckon I could get focus confirmation at 20cm at F2.0.

You're right it is a serious outting, couldn't you get the cat to smile?

Consider this is a crop.
My real concern is f2.0 and no Ois vs f4.0 with Ois of the kit lens: Distance is not Too much after all. And 30mm has ni ifunctiin...

It is smiling. You should see him/her when it has a grumpy day.

Nice pic by the way. I like the flourescent lights reflected in the cat's eyes.

Re: First serious out with my NX (Explicit show cat content!)

I am in the process of choosing how to workflow these picture...

Here is the different options:

Sharpen then NR, actual WF, a bit soft

NR then sharp (out from LR then in again after noiseware

No sharpen but NR

Sharpen then NR then sharpen again

I would like some educated eye opinion!
