NX1100 20-50 & closeup lens

Since i have a bit of infatuation with this little lens (althrough the 18-55 fit better my needs and spent the most of time attached to the body...), i wanted to find some spot for it.

So i bought some cheap closeup lens to give it a try, guessing that the edge to edge resolution of the lens wold have helped out resolution loss from the closeup...

While takeing some test picture of my lego trooper i  noticed this object on the desk

closeup +10

I guess this is sort of a cliché but good to test the combination...

What i noticed most (not so much in this picture...) is purple fring not handled by the cam engine... i guess this is the reason we still not have 3rd party lenses, they need to be handled as good as samsung lenses are handled by the drime-thing...

Last night when I was testing my new Samyang 12mm lens on my NX1000 I noticed that the very prominent purple-blue fringing is being reduced by the in-camera JPEG engine. I compared the OOC SuperFine JPEG to the raw file opened in RawTherapee (with Auto CA Removal and Defringing disabled) and there was a significant difference. I will need to do more testing in order to verify if there is indeed CA removal being performed in the in-camera JPEG engine even with dumb lenses as there may be other factors in play (I was taking night long-exposure pictures which involves heavy in-camera processing.).

Edit: There is definitely in-camera CA removal even with a dumb lens attached.

Samyang 12mm - green and purple fringe visible in RawTherapee (Neutral profile)

Samyang 12mm - CA removed in OOC JPEG
