Great little camera
3

I had loads of fun with this camera.

It was good for HDR

Good macro and good zoom even hand held.

well worth the money... got it second hand on ebay

I was hit by a huge rouge wave whilst taking a picture and knocked off my feet and sadly that was the end of my little point and shoot WB750

Here are a few piccies I took with it ... see link

Re: Great little camera

Wow!!

Many of your images are truly superb. Your capabilities to discern the essence of a subject is inspiring .

as for the macro work, it is stunning to think you did so well with handheld shooting. Clearly the small imager has a depth of field advantage but again this is more a measure of your talent and ability.

Shame you lost the camera however there are many great bargains available for used Samsung cameras  and it would be great for you to keep up the good work!

As with many things in life a great photograph has strong appeal for what is NOT in the picture.

Re: Great little camera

Hi William

Thank you so much for all your kind comments.

It was/is a great little camera, fits into your shirt pocket. light weight great zoom... even hand held!

I am a total novice and used it auto mode most of the time, however I was starting to venture off the auto setting and look at AP.

It was also good for HDR as has bracketing  capability. I used a tripod on at the Wymondham Abbey to try it out  and PP in Photomatix Pro.

I am hoping to get even better results with the SX50.  I am a bit more willing to move off the auto setting now LOL.  I have never shot anything in RAW and understand it might give me more control post processing, which is half the fun for me.

It's exciting times my friend. Your comments are very uplifting, inspiring me to venture forth with new found enthusiasm.

Re: Great little camera

I too enjoyed you photographs taken with this camera.

I used to work on various preserved railways in the '70s and '80s including the NNR that I recognise in your pics.

Processing from RAW can significantly increase the capabilities for recovery of image detail from highlight and dark areas - so I hope you SX50 delivers for you. Shame you're not sticking with Samsung gear - but glad you enjoyed it while you could.

Re: Great little camera

Hello AP

You have some nice stuff in your galleries.

Thank you for commenting.

If I could fly I would never get anything else done apart from flying and taking photos.

There are so many WW11 air fields around Norfolk that I'd love to see from the air.

I have worked at a few, Swanton Morley (One of the last grass runways still used)

RAF Lakenheath (A USAF fighter base, soon to close I hear!) I will have to get some photos of take offs and landings before they go!  The SX50 should be up to the task.

Thanks again

Re: Great little camera

I just wanted to say, Hi!

And yes the WB750 is a GLC for sure. Picked mine up last year, new for next to nothing, but very pleasantly surprised.

Haven't used it much...the battery seems to discharge inside the camera, in just a few days.I think that is normal for a battery which sits on a store shelf , uncharged, for year after year.

Thanks for the nice post.

Hi captura

Thank you for your post.

If My 750 still worked I would not have my SX50... IT WAS/IS still a fantastic p&s

I have several 100 shots still to PP from last year including several HDR

I loved my WD750

You might still be able to find one lonely WB750 sitting undiscovered in a retail store shelf...in middle of somewhere.

Who knows?
