Olympus sp100ee viewfinder pink

Hi all,

just ts picked up an sp100ee and have noticed my viewfinder looks pretty washed out and has a prominent pink tinge. Is this normal?

So after further playing the colours are correct if I look perfectly straight at the view finder however if I go even slightly off axis the screen starts to go pink.

Anyone else's do this?

Congratulations on getting the SP-100ee.

I have the SH-1 travel pocket P&S. It does not have a viewfinder and the red dot sight, and of course it is much smaller. But other than that it works almost the same as the SP-100ee.

You have the 3 inch LCD and the Electronic View Finder - Do they do the same thing? When you take a picture, does it also look strange?

If you have changed the settings - what are they now. as compared to the way they were out of the box?

Common reasons for the LCD and EVF looking bright and pink are - You have set the display brightness to maximum, and/or - you have set the EV (Exposure Variation) in P mode to maximum. iAUTO is also known to make things a bit bright, on many brands and many models.
