OK, that's good, but mind sharing when that was and where you got it? Thanks.

Didn't you see my post about getting one? I paid $99 & free shipping from canon. I think they still have more. They're refurbs, but i talked to a rep and they aren't used for any length of time, have a full warranty and are as new. Most in fact are ones that were returned because the person decided they wanted a different camera, or the box was opened, etc etc. See here....

Really, buying a refurb is a no-brainer. Too many worry that they're cameras that have been broken but now are fixed or whatever. They're basically just another way of a camera manufacturer to sell new stuff. Every refurb I've bought (many many many) have all been basically new.

Unfortunately canon Australia doesn't sell cameras as refubs, I would buy one this way if they did as I want a local warranty.

I just checked CanonUSA and they did have the refurb 330 HS for sale for $99 (the deal of a lifetime) but Out of Stock. Oh well!

That would have been a super deal, I own two 330s, one was $AU170 and the other $AU180, but considering the higher price of cameras in Australia, my prices were probably each equivalent to around $120 US.

I just googled ELPH 330 Refurbished (in shopping) and found this at B&H Photo & Video for $109.99 - in stock and with free expedited shipping to boot...

But that one is an ELPH 150 and only has the CCD sensor not the BSI-CMOS one as used in the HS series. It will most likely be very noisy at high ISO.

Oops - my bad. These darn searches often turn out wrong results that look deceptively similar. All the same, I would suggest searching Amazon and using Google shopping regularly - two years after its introduction, this should be a good time to pick one up ("like new" or refurb) at a decent price.
