First SPP in RAW and then save as 16 bit TIFF & use photo app you want after that for touch Tiff.

I would say not. I use SPP 3.5.2 for my SD14.  SPP 4.2 introduced a less-easy-to-use GUI and, for my files, SPP 5.5.3 is noticeably slower on my dual-Pentium Windows XP machine. No intention go Merrill, nor Quattro, so I'll stick with what I have

Harry SPP 6.1 works fine with my SD14 files. I don't think it's slow at all. I don't have a really powerful computer either. (1.7 GHz dual core i7 processor with 4 GB of RAM)

SPP 6 does things that earlier versions don't do. I suggest you give it a try and see what you think. The bonus that you will get is you will have compatibility with Merrill and Quattro raw files too.
