The Nikon Zf is a 24MP full-frame mirrorless camera with classic looks that brings significant improvements to Nikon's mid-price cameras. We just shot a sample reel to get a better feel for its video features and have added our impressions to the review.
NEX-6 vs. A7(r/s) for MF lenses
I suspect the A7 line of cameras is better than the NEX-6 purely in terms of ease of using manual focus lenses. But the question I have is, are they much better than the NEX 6?

The focusing experience is largely the same. The A7 has different (easier to set-up & use) controls than the Nex-6 and a larger housing for the EVF (more comfortable to view), which some may prefer, but as to zoom assist and focus peaking, this is done the same way.
In terms of IQ - you get a 16Mp crop view of the lens on the Nex-6 whereas you get a 24Mp 'full' view on the A7, and you can hardly compare the different FL that way. If you crop the A7, you get 10.5Mp, so it doesn't compare well either.
As to lens-resolution between the Nex-6 and A7: the Nex-6 matches the pixel pitch more-or-less of the A7r. The A7 is more relaxed, which does help the lens IQ - you'll get more micro-contrast, separation, sharpness, and so on in scenes that are on the edge. Often, this may not be noticeable, but for some lenses there is a difference (e.g. CV35/1.4 is better on A7).

Henry
