Finally got to try out my new GH4
2

Lots going on in my life at the moment, new job, house move etc but today I finally got to try out my new GH4 which I've had for about 4 or 5 weeks now.

Had a walk up the hill behind the new house and these are the results.

I'm fairly pleased with them given the moody conditions, and the camera was a dream to use compared to my previous G6.

It looks like the new house is in a very nice location! I'm guessing Dartmoor looking down onto Plymouth Sound, but I could be completely wrong.

I think your pictures are nicely composed and the colour is good. I like the gleaming water in the distance. Are the JPEGS straight out of the camera? There is some camera shake going on judging by the near details at 100%. A tripod or even a monopod for landscape shots might be a good idea. Were you using OIS at all? You could maybe open the aperture a little more - F9 and F10 on MFT is starting to get into diffraction territory. You could open up to F8 or even 5.6 without losing too much depth of field I think.

Agree with Rick. Your new house location is delightful.

I didn't pay attention to the technical details. The photos did a great job of creating envy and desire to stay for a week.

Can you qualify that statement.  It would be useful to know for G6 users who may consider stepping up.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all your responses. The location is Henllys, Cwmbran in South Wales and the blur possibly comes from strongish winds which made holding steady a difficult task.

As far quantifying why I think the GH4 is better than the G6 for me it's mainly the layout of buttons and general ergonomics. It's just so much nicer to hold and use.
