In a quandry - not a clue on film for a Loreo

I dug out an old LOREO MKII I had not used for years.  There was a roll in it which I finished.

When I popped the roll out, it was APS film.  Everything I have read says the MKII uses standard 35mm film.  HELP!

p.s.  The developed pictures (I received scanned digital files from the developer) were VERY grainy.

I don't know if that was due to the age or the film or because I was using APS film in a plain old 35mm camera.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Re: In a quandry - not a clue on film for a Loreo

If your cam does not have a septum(seperating the two views) get a new cam. I had an old one which produced blurry images. maybe lens or shutter was not stable. Inform yourself how cam is working. exposure time, aperture and flash. and decide then which film to take or additional flash.

I would get new camex3d. i was told it can be delivered from HK. 200 USD plus shipping and customs. could be bought at photokina for 150 euro.

You can't use APS film in a "plain old 35mm camera". The transport mechanisms are totally incompatible. There's no way to feed the APS film through the sprockets on the 35mm camera or engage the leader with the takeup spool.

Any info greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, there were no APS Loreo MKII cameras built. Did you receive the APS cartridge back with the developed film, or just the scans.

400 speed APS film tended to be pretty grainy.

Re: In a quandry - not a clue on film for a Loreo

we discussed about the possibility of blurry images because the shutter-button is situated on the right side front like in the exacta. I have experience with image-shack with both. The second loreo-option i described. There were multiple loreo-cams. two or three. use google to find them.
