Very good, but could use an update

Very good, but not what I would consider excellent wide open. Focus is extremely fast. I really like this lens even though I don't use primes too often. Bokeh is good, though WA lenses never have as nice, creamy bokeh as longer FL lenses. In some situations you may find more purple fringe than you would want. Price is high. After testing the new Sigma 35 Art, I've got to say that it is probably a better alternative (and at a cheaper price).

i have had this lens for a couple of years now but never got a chance to try it in a meaningful way, but i might try it and my 24 f1.4II lenses one of these days we only got 24 hrs in one day, right? that is why i strongly recommend not to have too many "L" lenses because i have found out that it is too difficult to try them most of the time and master them. keep it simple and have just a few great lenses to cover the critical range. enough said

cheerz.
