subject is sharp and nice, and if you show little more background blur, would be even nicer for a Bokeh

Is this correct..."SAL" 18-105mm or is it the SELP18-105mm?

This is a very nice puppy portrait ^5  Since you are seeking feedback.  I only have one minor criticism.   As with portraits, of people, for me it's all in the eyes.  I realize that this is tough, especailly with a light dog.  Sort of like properly exposing brides and grooms well (deep blacks and bright whites) in the same exposure.  But you can usually boost the eyes a bit in RAW or using a screen layer.
