Really nice shoot !

Details and colors are so nice.

But the amazing point is that I m not able to see any IQ difference between 500 ISO and 2500 ISO photo !

What a great set of kingfisher pics.... gorgeous!

I somehow especially like the one where you can see that it's raining.

Like the others, I'd also like to know how good the AF and sensor performed. Is it really worth it to take an A7S for this shoot inspite of the lesser megapixel count? Thomas

thank you thomas , i normal photograph wit hthe A77II , and that camera heve more MP , that is very great with wildlife , because you can crop , with this camera is that a problem , yes you can crop a little bit but not much

The AF and AF-speed was very good , and when i open my picture`s in lightroom , and saw so less noise on 2000 iso , its amazing

when you now you dont have to crop a lot , and you want to shoot in low light with high iso ,this is a great camera , but if i was you , wait , it`s now expensive , but i think the price shall drop with christmass

Excellent shots with good details and behaviour. Nice setting as well and good to see that lens being used. Its one species I would like to get a few shots of, here we have the "Sacred Kingfisher" and my favourite subject. So the Euopean species I would like to get a few shots of along with some of the Malaysian species. Australia has the Azzure which is a beautiful royal blue and those appeal as well. Heck, I want shots of all of them

All the best and great to see thanks, #9, 10 and 11 I love the action in there.

Danny.

Re: Great shots and a question

Well its an area near Tiel/ Opheusden in Gelderland where you can find the Kingfisher also, so i was wondering if you made the shots there.

Wonderful series with the changes in lighting and mood. Particularly like seeing a shot taken in rain. We don't get those too often.

Get your butt down here Marti and I'll give you KF until they are coming out your ears I know a few spots where a wheelchair will work just fine. Monopod and a 500mm is waiting

All the best Marti, one day.

Really beautiful. Simple, non-busy background, and lovely detail.
