Nice macros - I like the last one the best.

Did you use flash? It looks like you did not.

Cheers Scott, no flash used, in fact the flash unit is still in the box. i may look to see if a third party ring flash unit is available.

I use flash (FL-600R) when shooting insect macros and the extra light helps a lot with stopping down for depth of field, but might try shooting without because the E-P3's lack of dynamic range tends to give me hotspots, like on this guy's eyes:

Got a lot to learn, but it's fun trying.

Well worth posting these, very nice! Did you manage to catch a glimpse of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains?

Nice colours. The flower looks as though it's made of plastic.

Right, I should have mentioned its more common name: the waxplant.

The "Old Friends" Retirement Home for Professional Athletes
2

If you're ever around Louisville KY, drop by the Old Friends Retirement home to meet, up close and personal, some of the finest retired athletes in the country.

They have a nice peaceful home with plenty of places to enjoy being horses

Popcorn Deelite had a second career as a movie star - he played "Sea Biscuit" in the movie. His best friend learned to roll his upper lip at the track, where the tattoo in their mouths is always checked before a race.

Cat Launch holds a record for the most consecutive wins - 13. He interrupted a nice mud-roll to come see if we had carrots for him.

Some horses are owned by celebrities like Burt Bacharach

Some of the older fellows move slowly on arthritic knees, kind of like some of us

Eldaafur has two goats and is distraught when his goats are out of sight. They joined him in retirement  after he grieved for them so terribly.

Swannee is the only card carrying equine member of the Boston Red Sox. He bit me on the shoulder when I walked away with carrots still in my hand.

Re: Some abstract stuff

I especially like the first one. For me the bark reflection on the lower left edge is a distraction that I would crop/clone out if it were mine.

Lighthouse and Water Lily
1

The lighthouse is no longer used and is on Pelee Island in Lake Erie, Canadian waters. The water lily is in a marsh on Point Pelee, Ontario.

edit:  I see I missed a spot on the right edge of the color lily which I will have to address.

Re: Berlin Jewish Memorial

A well taken set.  Five acres is a large installation.  Must be really impressive (and moving) to be in it.

Nice to see.  We use to have a lot of them on the property but in recent years the numbers have plummeted and they are now outnumbered by swallow tails!
